Desde hace un tiempo ten\u00edamos ganas de revisar tanto la evoluci\u00f3n de la Enfermedad Meningea Infecciosa (EMI) en Espa\u00f1a, la presencia de sus correspondientes vacunas en el mercado y la implementaci\u00f3n en el Calendario Vacunal Espa\u00f1ol ( CVE) como la eficacia de la vacunaci\u00f3n en la mortalidad por meningitis.<\/p>\n
Fue el 15 de junio 2018 cuando presentamos los resultados de la Investigaci\u00f3n en el marco de la Primera Jornada Vacunas llevada a cabo en Girona.<\/p>\n
Se recogieron informaciones epidemiol\u00f3gicas oficiales de la meningitis infecciosa en Espa\u00f1a a lo largo de 77 a\u00f1os (per\u00edodo 1940-2017) teniendo en cuenta que las vacunas de la meningitis C y de la Hib se implementaron en el CVE a partir del 2000.<\/p>\n
Tras el tratamiento de los datos en la etapa prevacunal y posvacunal observamos resultados interesantes en cuanto a la mortalidad men\u00edngea, a la letalidad y a la eficacia de dichas vacunas. Durante el per\u00edodo prevacunal (1940-2000), sin presencia masiva de vacunas de la meningitis infecciosa, se produjeron 139 fallecimientos anuales por Meningitis C, B y Hib.<\/p>\n
En el per\u00edodo posvacunal (2000 – 2017) se describieron 146 muertes anuales por Meninigitis C, B y Hib.<\/p>\n
La Muerte por Reacci\u00f3n Adversa (MRAV) desde el a\u00f1o 2000 fue de 4 fallecimientos cada a\u00f1o si nos referimos al 1% de las declaraciones habituales.<\/p>\n
Si se declarase el 100% de las Reacciones Adversas de las Vacunas de la Meningitis cada a\u00f1o acontecer\u00edan 400 \u00f3bitos posvacunales.<\/p>\n
Tambi\u00e9n es de inter\u00e9s la revisi\u00f3n llevada a cabo sobre el c\u00e1lculo de la letalidad de la meningitis en Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
En la etapa prevacunal la letalidad era del 4% mientras que en la etapa posvacunal subi\u00f3 al 27%. Querr\u00eda esto decir que las posibilidades de morir de meningitis tras ser vacunada es mayor que sin vacunar.<\/p>\n
Por otro lado, la diferencia de gastos de la Administraci\u00f3n Sanitaria en la etapa prevacunal y posvacunal es marcada.<\/p>\n
Mientras que en la \u00e9poca prevacunal el gasto es muy bajo, en la \u00e9poca posvacunal las administraciones espa\u00f1olas, a lo largo de 17 a\u00f1os, gastaron un total de 3.900.000.000 euros.<\/p>\n
Seg\u00fan estos resultados estamos ante una situaci\u00f3n que pide una revisi\u00f3n profunda del tema.<\/p>\n
